Adam and Juliette's Wedding

How exciting to be able to shoot a wedding at my own home! Our land held a special place in the hearts of Adam, a family friend for many years, and Juliette because one of their first dates was over a year ago, before our house was built, right where our living room is now. Adam set up a movie screen and had a nice quiet evening with our cows watching over their shoulder. Last Summer, Adam proposed to Juliet under the grove of trees that you see the guys standing under below. Again with the cows eavesdropping. And now, this January they decided to say their vows at a place that contains those memories and special moments together. What a blessing it is that this place I call home now.

We just moved into our new house in September and with much of the construction done ourselves, we had A LOT of clean up to do to get ready for 200+ people coming in. It's good to have a deadline sometimes to get things done, ya know?! Just a side note, but little has been done since then. I guess we need another event to get more stuff done.

Well, this was quite the wedding party! 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 7 in the house party (honorary bridesmaids), 5 flower girls, 3 ring bearers, and a partridge in a pear tree. :) Having an outdoor wedding in January is risky business but there were so many people praying for good weather that we all knew it would turn out just right. Maybe it was my pregnancy hormones, but I too was crying when you walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful and moving moment!

Thank you so much A&J for not only loving our place as much as we do, but also allowing me to capture your wonderful day on camera. All your thought and preparation made for a beautiful ceremony!

Juliette wore her mother's wedding gown.

I'm crying at this moment and so is Adam.

From tears to joy...

A tearful goodbye.
