Fall Fun

Fall is the craziest time of year with all the Christmas card photo shoots, Equestrian events, Aggie Football games WHOOP! and continuous homeschool. Of course, as always I'm behind on posting but I really haven't posted many family candids on my blog in the past. I used to feel that my blog was just business but as my business ages and grows I'm realizing that my business is not only what I can DO for my clients but who I AM to and with my clients as well.

I'd like to do a better job of being REAL this year. There are many people that I've heard that follow my blog that I've never even met, which is baffling and humbling at the same time. I got so many comments on my testimony of Keslee and I think it's because it's real and it's vulnerable. And if my family and my life on this blog can be a testimony of what Christ has done for us and continues to do in our daily life then I think that I am serving the purpose He has for me at this time.

I depend on Him for every client and every dime that I get through photography. I've always felt that He would provide how much we need and when we need it. He has exceeded my expectations in not only how he provides for us but how much my heart has been blessed through the many families I've been able to work with.

Enough babbling...here are some fun candids from this Fall I thought you'd enjoy. BTW, since we live out in the country and school at home, my kids dress themselves, rarely match and their hair is a mess by the end of the day... just FYI... and I'll try to throw on some makeup and do my hair occasionally so I can do some self portraits with the kids. ;)

Canon Kids 2012

Well, I thought I should get a few of these shots up I grabbed back in November before the New Year gets away from me.  Vacation is officially over :( and it's back to the grind.  My hope was to get a few family shots for our Christmas cards but between Steve's busy schedule and mine it never happened.  I grabbed the kids and threw them in the van (no not literally) and we headed to my favorite field to try to get a couple "4 month" shots of Keslee.  He lasted about 15 minutes before getting tired of posing.  It was dusk before I could snap my fingers so a lot of my images were blurred or grainy cause I was moving too fast (or the kids were) to get clean shots, but nevertheless, at least I got a few to remember how they looked this Fall.  Keslee will already be 6 months in just a week and a half!!  I can't believe how time flies!!! 

The Osbornes

Visibility was about 50 yds, humidity was 100%, the grass was soaked and the kids had grass and dirt stuck like glue on them 2 seconds after leaving the car. I told Peggy, "hose your hair down with hairspray before you leave." I'm so glad Chris followed instructions. All his hair stayed perfectly in place! ;) And the girls' hair did too shockingly! I'd look like I stuck my finger in a light socket.

Conditions aren't always perfect when shooting, but when you have such GREAT people to work with it makes it all good. Chris was his usual self- cracking jokes and keeping everyone entertained. The twins wanted to wrestle in the drenched grass...Karis took Drew down!  It was a fun and delightful morning and just a little exhausting trying to get 3 kids under 3 to smile at the same time in the same location. I love this family as many of you do too and as always, Thank You for trusting me with your loved ones and your memories!
